Francesco Lo Castro
“In the realm of intersecting ideas, lies the opportunity of transformative change, ” Lo Castro Francesco LoCastro has the heart of a painter and the mind of a twenty-first century philosopher. His recent body of work explores subjects in the metaphysical and existential realms, which he conveys through a visual language that is both accessible and complex. Through the use of shapes, colors, symmetry, layers and movement, Lo Castro presents his work across a platform that transcends the diversity of the human experience. Caroline Geys
Caroline Geys is a Belgium-born artist currently residing and working in Los Angeles, Ca. Since an early age she’s explored the dynamics of human interaction where she developed a study of linear patterns that mirror the frequencies of feeling and thought. Geys is inspired by the various individual forms that make up a city in a macro and micro dynamic: architecture, topography, cultural and physical infrastructure, dynamic human activity and organic nature. For Geys, every line, dot, and color illustrates a connection made among these elements as they meld and recreate each other within this found composition. Geys’ exhibitions include The Standard Hotel West Hollywood, Ann 330 Gallery, and Art Basel Miami Beach.
Dan Terndrup (Cosmic Kids)
Half of the Producer / DJ duo Cosmic Kids, Terndrup is a music connoisseur who specializes in creating an upbeat atmosphere that immerses his audiences in a dance experience that’s virtually impossible to turn down. Terndrup’s remix roll-call includes Holy Ghost!, The Rapture, Local Natives, Poolside, and Classixx.
Phyllis Navidad
An Angeleno native, and popular drag persona, Phil Bandel AKA Phyllis Navidad is a fearless arts and event curator with a roster of unconventional artists mostly from Los Angeles. After opening the Pop tART Gallery in January of 2010 and closing its doors in February of 2013, Navidad has been producing one-off gallery style events and online art sales that have garnered local attention. For this full sensory experience with Scoggins and LoCastro, Navidad is pleased to be a part of SSNS 001 // COSMIC SESSION.
Citizens Of Culture
The Citizens Of Culture are people and businesses in and around the Los Angeles area that are doing what they can to make the world a more interesting place. Each has a niche that they have carved their own and in one way or another are a contributor to the resurgence of a quality of life not seen in Los Angeles since the 20′s. By connecting the people and places we solidify the bond between the coffee shop and the soccer mom, by shedding a light on both emerging and established talent we inform and inspire.

Dechel McKillian
Fashion stylist and designer Dechel McKillian is a native Angelino with a global passport and calculated intuition for style. A graduate of UCLA with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychobiology and a curatorial eye for fashion, McKillian’s work expresses an organic and stylistically timeless aesthetic. From apprenticing celebrity costume designer Marco Morante with whom she collaborated on costumes for Lil Wayne and The Black Eyed Peas, to developing her own brand and working with an impressive client roster, McKillian brings a subtle and striking brilliance to all of her work. For Mckillian, “Fashion is more than a statement; it’s a discrete way of life, a revolution, a separation from the outside world.” Influenced by the unexpected, McKillian thrives to entice levels of taste.
Suppin’good
Suppin’good is a culinary personality of Los Angeles food alchemist Alyssa Noui. Product of French-born Algerian and Japanese parents, Noui is a teacher and home chef that is re- imagining the way we experience food. From an early age, she cultivated an appreciation for handmade quality, close contact with food growers and intuition in place of measuring cups. Drawing inspiration from her travels, Noui has developed a home-cooking style that blends rustic and exotic flavors. Suppin’good is the embrace of all things old school, organic, sustainable, unprocessed, toxic-free, and made-from-scratch.

Pinwheel Foliage - Digital Image |
2013 is in high gear and I am currently working on two series simultaneously. Although they are completely different, they inspire each other and share some of the same color palettes. The first of the new series encompasses the pieces seen above. Completed last night is the the third image 'Pinwheel Foliage' that will inspire the next painting on canvas. After working on a painting for several hours and still feeling the creative itch, it's nice to be able to sit down, relax and create digitally.
